- I'll probably get this wrong for a whole lot of reasons but here goes.

- In the first half of the movie, one of the characters remarks about the
- black hole and refers to Dante's Inferno. The end is probably a tie-back
- to this. There's also a bit of Frankenstein in there, where the creator
- becomes the victim of his creation. And Faust, where the protagonist sells
- his soul for his ambitions.
