  19. I don't know what "impossibly old" is, but that would qualify half my
  20. relatives as instant replicants.  The photos could simply be a hint on
  21. the similarity between humans and replicants, and indeed work better
  22. that way.  Note that Leon's photos are photos of people and places he
  23. knew.  They were up-to-date, 3D.

  28. We've had other explanations for that.  Unicorns are a symbol for
  29. purity, and that might have been what Gaff wanted to say about Rachel.

  36. Certainly not Deckard, unless you are willing to accept he jumped ship
  37. with the others.  Really desperate for arguments, are we?  The sixth
  38. replicant was a piece of dialogue that was not redone when it was
  39. decided to cut the sixth one out of the film.

  43. Indeed, there's no doubt this was an intentional hint.  However, they
  44. did not follow up on it, so it does not count for much in the original
  45. edition.  Scott included it in the director's cut, but it still does
  46. not clinch it.  Main reason why Deckard could still not be a
  47. replicant: He is much too slow and too weak to deal with the others
  48. effectively.  Main reason why Deckard should not be a replicant: The
  49. film works much better that way.  This topic has been discussed to
  50. death.
