- If I'm not mistaken, both of the books you mention have been filmed.
- The Terminal Man, with George Segal, came out in '74 or '75, and
- The Great Train Robbery, with Sean Connery(I think), in '81 or '82.
- I'm not sure about the dates or cast for either of these, so perhaps
- someone who remembers more can give you more detail.
