- Drowning by Numbers was made before TCTTTWHL. can't remember dates
- tho'.
-
- `Dante's Inferno' was a set of ten (?) (sorry, my memory is a bit vague
- on this one) shortish films which together make a telling of the
- first two (?) cantos of the Inferno. It was another Dutch/English
- co-production, made around 1989. The work was made with artist
- Tom Phillips, who has made a new translation & illustrations.
- [ I recommend his `A Humument: A treated Victorian novel' highly]
-
- `DI' uses similar framing techniques to the later Prospero's Books, but
- adds in visual `footnotes' by living experts, commenting on Dante's
- tale (all very metafictional and post-modern, no doubt :-)
-
- Also forgot to mention a work PG did on Mozart - can't remember the
- title, but it was alliterative, with lots of `M's.
