  17. Actually, I could see Cleese doing a good job of playing the Doctor
  18. reasonably straight. Of course, he'd still have Cleese's sense of
  19. humor (humour?), but he wouldn't go around attacking people with her-
  20. rings or anything like that. I think it would be much more _apropos_
  21. for him to play the role of a serious if somewhat odd Doctor rather
  22. than a Monty Python spoof of the Doctor.
