  12. In the last few weeks of watching Dr. Who I've seen the following quote
  13. (and variations of it) used in several Dr. Who stories:
  14.  
  15.     "I'm going out now and may be some time"
  16.  
  17. This was said by an explorer before leaving his group on his own and 
  18. getting to be the first person to either the north or south poles, right?
  19. (pardon my ignorance, I'm US educated :-) ).
  20.  
  21. The stories are:
  22.     Planet of Evil (when the Doctor leaves the control center for the last
  23.         time to deal with the monster Professor)
  24.     Nightmare of Eden (when the Doctor is leading all the Mandril's back
  25.         into the crystal)
  26.     Earthshock (when the doctor goes out into the caves to cool off after
  27.         his argument with Adric)
  28.  
  29. Can anyone think of any other stories where a variation of this quote appeared? 
  30. Can anyone give me a reference for the quote?  (I'm probably mangling it)
