- Jon Pertwee killed a Dalek rather painfully in 'Planet Of The Daleks'. Now, the
- Daleks are evil, yes, but so was Shockeye. Does a Dalek's pain count for less
- than the pain of Shockeye (in 'The Two Doctors')?
-
- Tom Baker killed Dr Solon in 'The Brain Of Morbius', threatened Calib ('I'll
- break your nose if you don't get up' while holding a crossbow on him) in 'The
- Face Of Evil' and threw a Horta onto the arm of a Sevateem warrior in the same
- story. In 'The Armageddon Factor' he cheered as the Marshal's missiles
- destroyed the planet of the Shadow, killing the Shadow and his henchmen. Tom
- Baker himself said the Doctor would let a city burn to save a country.
-
- Peter Davison went to execute Davros in 'Ressurection of the Daleks' and
- kiled the Sea-Devils and Silurians in 'Warriors of the Deep'.
-
- That said, Colin Baker was a more violent Doctor than the others (not a
- great deal) due to his regeneration, but his actions had their roots in the
- actions of the previous Doctors. Exploring the darker side of the Time Lord
- was the way the series was going and it's just a shame that a no-talent
- power freak like Michael Grade should interfere where he hasn't got the brains
- to know what he's doing. Like Hollywood studio bosses.
