  16. Yes, you are correct, I was very turned off by the acidity of the 6th 
  17. Doctor's portrayal - non-huggable is a good way of describing it.  But I 
  18. can see that some of the stories were good - it seemed that CBaker toned 
  19. down abit in the 2 doctors, who's influence that was, I don't know.  But 
  20. you must also remember the impression that having the whinny, nasally Peri 
  21. around had on alot of US fans - it really turned them off.  I really don't 
  22. like to see someone bouncing around as much as she did without the proper 
  23. support - if you get my drift - it is just too embaressing.
  24. The fault (if there is any, and that is debatable) could lie anywhere.  I 
  25. once heard that CBaker REALLY wanted to be the Doctor - but that the 
  26. portrayal was out of his hands, he had to do it as the script editor, 
  27. producer, director or whoever told him to be abrasive.  Not a nice 
  28. situation over there at the Beeb.
  29. But different strokes for different folks, some people like him, some 
  30. people hate him, so people are indifferent.
