- MMM...this is a widely held view in British fandom (Brett was voted
- the fans favourite two years back I think) but this is a bigggg
- mistake. Why? Brett may be a very good actor but HE IS Sherlock
- Holmes, I cannot see hi Dr being wildly different, nor - and this is
- the important bit -- could I see the audience identifying him as the
- Doctor, because he is Sherlock Holmes (Exactly my problem!)
- The choice of Brett would be a total disaster for the ratings in a
- new show.
- A sensible and affordable choice of a tv detective is John Thaw,
- what do you think of that?
