-
- Also, this week UK GOLD are showing the Hartnell stories "Planet of
- the Giants" and "The Rescue". The five episodes will be shown at 5.30
- p.m. running from Monday to Friday. Hurrah!!
-
- When were these last transmitted to a UK audience? It's about time we
- started getting material that hasn't been seen for so long.
-
- UK GOLD has already shown (and repeated) three entire stories in the
- first two weeks of transmission (An Unearthly Child, Edge of
- Destruction & The Aztecs). Unfortunately, their treatment of the end
- credits and the need to stick UK GOLD in the bottom right corner
- somewhat intrudes. I hope they keep transmitting rare Who though.
- (Did anybody see the Sunday repeats - start and end credits hacked
- off? And what about the scheduling!! The slot was supposed to end at
- 11am but went on to about 11.40. At least Dr. Who seems to be getting
- priority - they showed both Edge and the Aztecs!)
-
- Plus on Friday we will have TWO channels broadcasting Dr. Who on the
- same day - is this a record?
