  30. Calling in advance is one of the least reliable methods for finding
  31. out which attractions at Disney parks will not be available.

  33. Not that I doubt the sincerity of those cast members answering the 
  34. phones when you call or those who put up the lists of attractions
  35. which will be closed for refurbishing on the ticket booths.  They are
  36. just reading from a script provided for them by their superiors.

  38. My impression is that during the non-peak season, some rides will
  39. be listed as closed, but opened if attendance warrants their use.
  40. And I have seen that happen for the Columbia, Snow White's Scary 
  41. Adventures, Peoplemovers, Skyway, Autopia, etc. at Disneyland and
  42. one ride at the Magic Kingdom in WDW.

  44. Calling in advance is still a good idea if you are worried about a
  45. "major" attraction being closed for the time you will be in the park.
