- I too am preparing for my first trip. I went down to the store
- and bought Birnbaum's Official Guide. There were some parts of
- it that I found informative. Later I found myself in the local
- library and checked out another book on WDW (I forget the title
- and author).
-
- I found quite a difference between the two books. The book that
- I checked out from the library was much more objective and
- thorough than Birnbaum's. Birnbaum's book, being sanctioned by
- Disney pretty much speaks the party line. The book from the I
- got from the library spoke not only to the good aspects but also
- mentioned attractions that could be skipped if you didn't have
- the time as well as restaurants to avoid and why.
-
- I wish that I had gone to the library first.
