-
- A Whole New World and One Jump (titles?) are by Rice. I believe everything
- else is by Ashman.
-
- I think Alladin will put to rest any fears about Disney not being able to
- replace Howard Ashman. Listening to the soundtrack, the Ashman songs didn't
- strike me as being "hummable". My criteria for a good musical is that the
- music tells the story, and I won't be abble to judge it until I see the movie.
-
- My favorite Ashman musical is Little Shop of Horrors, with at least four
- memorable songs (and one Oscar nomination).
-
- Disney has a tradition of at least one good song from each movie, and Aladdin
- continues that tradition.
