However, it wasn't the old show with the cool theme song lyrics ("Spider-man, Spider-man, does whatever a spider can") nor was it "Spider-man and his Amazing Friends" (No Iceman or Firestar). The episode on the video had a big parade honoring Captain America, and in the end Spider-man and Cap teamed up to stop the Red Skull who was going to make Cap look bad.

I remember about 8 years ago, there was a "new" Spiderman series that
aired on television. Around Christmas last year they started selling
videos of the "Master of the World" Dr. Doom episode. The series wasn't
that bad, (of course my memory may be screwed up!) but I don't think
many episodes were made. Basically, when I was watching it, this was
the format: Every week for about 7 weeks they would show 2 of the "old"
Spiderman episodes, 2 "new episodes" and 1 "new" episode with Dr. Doom
in it. [possible spoilers ahead!]
Each week, Spidey would beat Dr. Doom, but Doom would usually make off
with some jewel or control device, or something like that so he didn't
totally lose. In the last episode, he constructed a weather controller
from all they parts he obtained in the previous episodes, and he used
it to take over the world. All his Doombot robot doubles stepped out
from different locations around the world, and started ruling the
countries, etc in true Doc Doom style. Anyways, Spidey figures out
the code word for the weather controller is "doom" (go figure!) and
takes control of the laser in the satellite. The laser starts cutting
through Latveria, through Doom's castle, and, just as Doom is about to
blast Spidey into atoms, it hits his armor and he is killed (assuming it
is the real Doom) as the laser causes his armor to explode. Latveria is
free (hooray)! and then they started running reruns. On a side note, if
anyone out there has tapes of this Spiderman run, I would be
interested in hearing from ya. I haven't seen an episode since a long,
