- I stand by my origianl statement that in general _Heros severus_ and
- _Heros appendiculatus_ (Turquoise Severum) are herbivors. Of course there
- are probably exceptions to the rule.
-
- I have several Severums in a tank with Oscars and Pike Cichlids. I have
- never seen them, the Severums, go after a feeder goldfish. I have seen
- them eat frozen brine shrimp and Tubifex worms. I feed mine Zuchinni,
- peas, spinach and lettuce on a regular basis and they gobble it right
- up.
-
- Look in _The Cichlid Aquarium_ by Paul Loiselle. This is just one of
- the books that clearly states that Severums are herbivors.
