- An "older" friend is looking for a replacement for a cake pan that was his
- wife's when she was a child. This appears to have been part of a miniature
- cooking set -- completely funtional, but tiny.
-
- The pan is of the type sometimes called a "tube pan," and is the sort used to
- make angel food cakes, etc. It is about 5" across the top, and 2" tall at the
- sides. The pan is made of aluminum, and has (of course) an aluminum tube
- that comes up through the middle (ergo: a "tube" pan, right? :) )
-
- If you have one of these, or if you know where I can get one, I'd be most
- appreciative. The couple used to make "little" cakes for their kids in the
- pan, then for the grandchildren, and now they want to continue the family
- tradition for great-grandchildren, but the orginal has been worn too thin
- to repair.
-
- Naturally, I would expect to pay for such an item, and would be willing to
- give a premium price for one.
