  17. Right, I just got Vol 3 of "Radio Mfgrs of the 20s" over the weekend,
  18. read thru the RCA ads, and found that set, a Model 32.
  19. It isn't even listed in Bunis' book -- does that mean it's rare?
  20. Anyway, it was the only time I ever owned a '20s AC set with a cabinet --
  21. wish I still had it.  It was a fairly tall lowboy.  Cost me $12 delivered!

  23. The sound had enuf bass but seemed to have some of those peaks in the
  24. treble end that wear down your nerves after a while.  Set wasn't very selective
  25. either, even with 5 stages, and the alignment screws (at 5 different places
  26. on the dial, really neat system) were too worn off to adjust.

  32. I'll crawl under my workbench and look, but I seem to recall it having nothing
  33. but the 1500 VCT terminals.  May have had rectifier filament windings too.
  34. It's a big gray metal cube.  If you want it, I hope you aren't too

  43. Thanks very much.  I'd heard about this Elgin swap meet, and watched for it.
  44. Then it came, but on workdays in a very busy week!  Thursday and Friday
  45. instead of the weekend.  I guess they figure serious radio freaks will
  46. take off a day or two.  Dealers will of course.  Maybe next year I'll
  47. just take off a day or two.
