  10. My wife and I recently refinished an old oak cold case.
  11. Prior to electricity, grocers still had to hawk their goods
  12. AND keep them cold, so they used something like what we
  13. refinished.  I have some questions about it to anybody
  14. on the net who might know about it, but first, some particulars:
  15.
  16. Height:  4.5'
  17. Width:   4.0'
  18. Depth:   29"
  19.
  20. It's made out of solid oak (it must weigh at least 350 lbs. if
  21. not more).  It has a brass nameplate that says JEWETT BUFFALO.
  22. The handles, clasps and door hinges are all ornate brass.  The
  23. oak is similar to tongue 'n groove on the sides, back and interior,
  24. while the front has router-type lines to it.  The interior has a
  25. full wood shelf on top, and supports to hold 2 single-sheet shelfs
  26. below it at spaced intervals.  The bottom is lined with sheet
  27. aluminum, along with the aluminum coming up about 6" on all sides.
  28. It has four doors, two on top, two on bottom.  The two top doors
  29. are small and square.  The two bottom are rectangular.  As I said,
  30. it's heavier than anything I've ever moved before.  Any ideas as
  31. to where it was made, how old it might be, what it might be worth?
  32.
