- This past weekend I attended a coin/money show and did a little
- asking around to answer some of the BURNING questions some of you had.
-
- 1) regarding that Dominion of Canada 25cent note from 1900.
- It is apparently common and in top condition
- might be worth $2.50 +
-
- 2) regarding that $100,000,000 (?)(Marks? , obviously not $)
- German inflation note- These were mostly produced
- after WWI went Germany went into hyperinflation and
- it cost that much just for a loaf of bread. The deal
- is, during inflation there is too much money so these
- bills are not rare. This bill may be worth $5-10+
- dollars depending upon condition. You are most likely
- to get a better price from a WWII collector than from
- a currency dealer.
-
- 3) regarding the WWII ration coupons.. Jack,
- these are not as rare as you may think. (I still have
- my mother's coupons.) Your coupons may be worth from
- $5-15 depending upon condition, and commodity. However,
- you stated that one stamp was torn out so you won't be
- at the top of the range. You, also, would be more
- likely to receive a higher price from WWII collectors.
- Especially, it you have a harder to find commodity.
-
- As an item of interest, I did see an i.d. pass used by
- one of the judges to get into the Nuremburg trials.
-
-
- Lastly, I want to add a special disclaimer. I have not seen any
- of these items and am not a currency expert. If you
- want a real estimate, you should take it to two or three
- dealers for a price.
