- If a union can't get me a job, why would I want to belong? Of course,
- if the union offered other services and used its potentially massive
- resources to offer other services I might still join. I'm not quite
- clear on what it is you are complaining about. All I'm saying is that
- people would be much more likely to join a union if they thought it
- was truely worthwhile. A union, being a large group of people, could
- use its potential purchasing power to provide services in addition to
- contract negotiation.
