  24. Actually, my "incorrect spelling" is due to an inability to type rather than
  25. any spelling disability.  This deficiency is due primarily to being in 
  26. Computing Science, which appears to have a disproportionate number of the
  27. world's "2-finger typers" like myself.  SFU excels at many things: Archeology,
  28. Business, Computing, Engineering, but typing is apparently not amongst them.
  29. (The improper usage of punctuation is purely my own, and in no way reflects the
  30. calibre of SFU in general :)

  32. We don't hear much about Carleton out west, except for two things:
  33.     1) They do journalism, apparently very well.
  34.     2) The entrance requirements are amongst the lowest in Canada
  35. We don't hear much about the results of this open-door policy and therefore have
  36. to draw our own, perhaps unfounded, conclusions.  As a related note, SFU has
  37. one of the highest entrance requirements in the country, but has one of the
  38. highest drop-out rates as well.  I'm not sure what this says about the school
  39. actually, but I'd be inclined to think it's not a good thing:  I suppose there's
  40. pros and cons in any scheme (as I've already been made aware of :)
