- Actually, you're right James... Not everybody at Laurier is a Bizknob. I
- did meet a couple of nice people in music, and a couple in science (though,
- I don't know why anybody would want to go to Laurier for science) You are
- speaking to a bitter person. I went to Laurier and I hated it, as you can
- probably tell. Hell, my opinions are my own, and no matter how much you
- disagree with them, I'll stick by what I said. I caught enough flak at
- Laurier for not subscribing to the generally mindless view which is quite
- common. I'm sure there are exceptions, perhaps you're one of them...

-
- Laurier biz students have a BIG chip on their shoulders when it comes to
- Western. One of the chants we shouted during intro week there was,
- "Western Sucks!" in a feeble ego-boost attempt for having lived in
- Western's shadow for so long.
-
- Personally, I couldn't care less what you think about my "sweeping
- generalizations" I said what I said because that's how I feel. Censorship
- at Laurier is a big issue. "Remember The Cord getting shut down for an
- article that was considered offensive?" I don't know what happened the
- following year, but the year I was there, they tried to have the editor of
- The Cord fired for printing the article entitled "A Gay Man's Guide to
- Erotic SAFE Sex" Hey, man, I always thought that a university newspaper
- was a forum where people could discuss issues in a mature, open-minded
- manner. At Laurier, that is not the case. You print something that the
- LSU doesn't like and they shut ya down. Censorship, my friend.
-
- Je.
