- Yes it seemed just plain daft that I had to spend ten minutes every
- day to walk to the library, or much longer if I was at home, or phone
- up and disturb a librarian, when I could have been notified by email
- when a book was ready for me.
-
- It also seems daft to be able to look up the availablity of a book in
- the catalogue, but have to not only physically go to the library to
- reserve it but *manually* transcribe information fron the screen onto
- paper, especially when part of this then re-entered into the computer
- system! I'm quite happy to ask a librarian for help, but to ask them
- to do something boring and unecessary, like reserve the book by phone,
- seems unfair.
-
- I hope the network availability of library functions will be improved,
- comp301 project? :-)
