- HARLEY-DAVIDSON TRAVELING MUSUEM COMES TO BLOOMFIELD, N.J.
-
- Time was, there were more than 150 American motorcycle manufacturers.
- In today's highly competitive worldwide motorcycle industry, only one U.S.
- manufacturer remains -- Harley-Davidson.
-
- Motorcycle enthusiasts interested in learning about the history of these
- classic American motorcycles will soon have the opportunity as the Company's
- Traveling Museum, "The History of America's Motorcycle," opens its doors on
- December 5, 1992. The Museum will be located at Harley-Davidson of Essex,
- 168 Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield, N.J. 07003 on December 5, 1992 and will
- be open from 9AM to 5PM.
-
- This coincides with an OPEN HOUSE at Harley-Davidson of Essex. There
- will be a live band, contests, prizes and free food and drink, as well as
- the opportunity to view the 1993 Harley-Davidson models.
-
- Ninety years of motorcycle history are on display in Harley's state-of-
- the-art Traveling Museum, according to Glenn Steele of Harley-Davidson of
- Essex. Tours wind though the newly remodeled Museum on a simulated highway
- and stop at a number of brightly lit displays containing photographs,
- perspectives on Harley-Davidson's brilliant history and examples of some
- of Harley-Davidson's collection of antique motorcycles.
-
- The Museum tour is free. However, donations for the Muscular Dystrophy
- Association will be welcomed. For more information call Harley-Davidson
- of Essex at (201) 748-2500.
