  22. If you showed the same disgust for corporate waste, then I might agree with
  23. you.  Almost every bank I go into has fancy wood paneling, luxury furniture,
  24. and fancy wallpaper, etc.  Most corporate headquarters I have visited are
  25. like palaces, on the outside and on the inside.  Most top executives give
  26. themselves unbelievable perqs, such as limos with chauffers, or even private
  27. jets and helicopters.

  29. Who do you think pays for all of this luxury?  Consumers do.  You and I.
  30. It's amazingly like taxes (esp. sales tax).  Since most big companies have
  31. these practices (and even lots of small ones have them!), it is not easy
  32. to just choose not to buy their products.  My perception is that there is
  33. much more waste in the private sector than in government.  How much does
  34. your bank's president make?
