  23. Job Description
  24. ---------------
  25. Environment: 
  26. Downtown Boston, Financial District [a block from Fanuiel Hall]
  27. Financial Trading and Information Systems of 300+ Sun workstations,
  28. 20+ specialized servers,Cisco routers, FDDI, the works.  
  29. A Sun Microsystems "strategic" account.
  30.  
  31. I-Kinetics, Inc currently has a long-term contract to design, develop
  32. and maintain this client's large distributed Sun/Unix system.
  33.  
  34. Technical consultation and hands on implementation in the following
  35. areas: LAN, WAN, and internetworking design, NIS, security, network
  36. architecture and layout, emerging technology evaluation, RDBMS, and
  37. client/server technology.  Experience with Sybase, X-Windows, Motif
  38. performance tuning and product lifecycle management a plus.  Previous
  39. experience with financial trading environments is a moby plus.
