- One question: What are the current rules regarding filibusters in the
- Senate? The old rules (as I understand them) were that (1) to invoke
- cloture required a 2/3 majority of the senate and (2) the speeches
- during a filibuster were not restricted (that is, they could be about
- anything -- not just about the topic under consideration). Are these
- still current or have they been changed?
