- When I was young (3? 4?) I had Carol and Maureen as my imaginary
- friends. They lived under the black walnut in the backyard. This
- was fine until Maureen started getting into some mischief, she
- crayoned on places not meant for crayons (walls, books) and I think
- something else too, but I forget. At this point, my mom told me
- she wanted to invite Carol and Maureen's mom over for coffee. They
- needed to discuss how to handle Maureen's behavior problem. Well
- I told her that unfortunately that would not be possible that day
- since she was too busy packing and moving. They did move to the
- juniper in the neighboring yard. I still played with them, but
- Maureen never got into trouble at our house again.
