- Don't count on this! My eldest child was crawling at 5 1/2 months
- and pulling up to a stand at 6 months...then she didn't take a first
- step until 11 months, didn't balance herself until 12 months (for a month
- or so she would take steps without being able to stand up on her own--she
- would just set sail into the middle of a room until she plopped down
- onto her knees), and didn't walk for transportation until past a year.
-
- And then there was my youngest, who didn't really crawl on his hands
- and knees until 8 months but was walking sturdily well before a year.
-
- And then there was my sister, who never really crawled at all but walked
- at 9-10 months.
