- Summary: taking cues from child
-
- We've had a potty chair sitting around, mostly gathering dust, for
- several months now. Our son will sometimes sit in it (fully
- clothed) but he has not wanted to try sitting on it without clothes on
- yet. He has, however, watched his best friend sit on the potty, and
- will often refer to that momentous occasion :-). I decided to buy a
- couple of books about toilet training just to start laying the
- groundwork, in case the idea appealed to him.
-
- We bought _Once Upon a Potty_ and the Mr. Rogers' _Going to the
- Potty_ book. My husband read the first book to Dylan, and for the
- first time ever, Dylan declined a second reading of a new book. After
- I read the Mr. Rogers book to him, he also declined a second reading!
- I think he's on to us, so we'll just shelve the books with the rest
- of his library and let him decide when he's ready for some more
- brain washing. :-) :-) :-)
