  28. OK, confession time.  I survived my first child with extremely long
  29. hair, but my daughter has done me in.  As of last weekend, my 15+ inch
  30. braid is packed away with my mother's braids and her mother's braids and
  31. my hair is now up to my collar.  Still straight, but not long.

  33. So far, no regrets from anyone (at least not verbalized).  My husband
  34. also has a "thing" about long hair, but HE'S not the one who has to take
  35. care of it & try to keep it out of his daughter's mouth, etc.  His one
  36. stipulation when I asked him how he would feel if I were to get my hair
  37. cut was that I not regret it in front of him.  He just doesn't want to
  38. hear me bemoaning my loss.

  40. The kids love it & so do I.  It's still long enough to Margee to grab
  41. hold of, but only when I'm holding her, not when I'm leaning over the
  42. crib to tuck her in.  It's also very bouncy and she & Mickey both laugh
  43. a lot when I shake my head.  I also like the new look & it's giving me
  44. incentive to make a few other changes (like diet, etc.).
