- Exactly why is it important that children's sleepwear be
- flame retardant? I just don't get it. Is it that
- if there is a fire in your home at night and you have to
- hold the child and run through the flames to safety, you'll
- be glad the sleepwear is flame retardant? (This can't be
- right!) Is it the protection, then, for when they are _not_
- sleeping? Maybe for when they get up in the morning and
- are hanging out by the stove while Dad frys bacon? If this
- is the case, then it would make more sense that non-sleepwear
- be flame retardant, as it is worn much more often when the
- child is exposed to potentially flammable situations. I just
- don't get it.
