  23. We had the same problem with our Disney player, and even returned one to
  24. the store.  When the second one did it too, my wife called Mattel.  The
  25. lady at Mattel said to put in fresh batteries and the door would work. 
  26. It makes no sense to me (I dismantled the 1st player to get the tape
  27. out, and could only see mechanical links between the ``eject'' button
  28. and the door release), but we tried it and it seems to work.

  30. NiCd (rechargable) batteries are highly recommended, BTW.  You'll go
  31. broke buying Alkalines for one of these monsters!
