- Really, I don't think it'll be as hard as you think. I've taken my little fella
- on a few trips now - most recently (at age 18 months) to see my sister, which
- meant two plane trips of about one hour and two-and-a half hours.
-
- On balance I recommend a window seat, as you sort of have more room to expand,
- and annoy less people. Jack spent a while happily pulling the window blinds up
- and down too. My best 'find' was a $1 pot of bubble mixture with a wand in it.
- Jack spent ages sitting on my knee watching me blow them and trying to do it
- too. And when some of the mixture spilt, that didn't really matter. I don't
- think we were doing anything to annoy the other passengers - in fact any of the
- bubbles that drifted back were greeted with amusement.
-
- As for ears - also less problem than I feared. Jack has a pacifier which he
- sucks at night and I let him have that for take-off and landing if he wanted
- it. I also gave him a feeding cup with his favourite juice in it when he got a
- bit unhappy on one descent - seemed to do the trick.
-
- I guess I'm quite lucky in that Jack is happy when there are plenty of things
- and people to look at. But if there are two of you to do the entertaining, it
- should be a breeze!
-
- Enjoy the trip!
