- EXPERIENCE:
-
- 3/92 - NYNEX CORPORATION
- present SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER, White Plains, NY
-
- Consultant
- Design and Development of instrumentation drivers and GUI
- (Graphical User Interfaces) using OOP (Object Oriented
- Programming) for the ATLAS (Automated Transmission Link Analysis
- & Simulation) system.
- ATLAS manages a network of advanced telecommunication test,
- simulation, and analysis equipment that provides a complete
- analysis of transmission impairment impacts on new services and
- associated equipment. The ATLAS controller (a UNIX workstation)
- makes it possible to automatically control telecommunication
- environments down to the most exacting measurement
- specifications for the purpose of evaluating new services and
- new vendor products. ATLAS analysis models are developed using
- HP VEE-TEST, a Visual Engineering Environment that runs under
- the X Windows System (X11). It is a menu-driven, graphical
- application that performs complex math and analysis calculations
- on technical data. VEE-TEST also communicates with instruments,
- HP BASIC/UX, C, and other HP-UX languages.

- 6/88 - 3/92 ERI - ELECTRO-RADIATION INC., Fairfield, NJ
- GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS DIVISION
-
- Senior Systems Engineer
- Software engineering, design, analysis and development of
- advanced systems. Involved in a multi-phase program to develop
- and demonstrate the capabilities of Ada in a real-time embedded
- electronic warfare sensor fusion and power management
- application for the US Army rotary wing aircraft. This project
- used VMEbus hardware, a 68020 microprocessor, and the
- MIL-STD-1553 interface. The project explored the language
- features and incorporated Expert/Artificial Intelligence
- techniques in its design. Designed and developed all embedded
- and non-embedded software functional performance specifications
- and produced the necessary project software documentation.
- Developed essential non-embedded real-time support
- sensor/avionics suite, scenario simulations, and the graphic and
- text situation awareness display programs for the PC-based
- support systems. Specified, designed, developed, tested and
- documented the proprietary real-time executive firmware used in
- the embedded multiprocessor system.
-
- 3/84 - 6/88 LUCAS AEROSPACE - CONTROLS TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, Fairfield, NJ
-
- Senior Systems and Test Engineer (8/85 - 6/88)
- Software analysis and development for various electronic fuel
- control system projects. Development of engine simulation
- software from customer specifications using modular programming
- and high level languages such as Ada and Pascal. Development of
- various monitoring software for electronic engine controls using
- MIL-STD-1553B, RS-422, RS-232C and IEEE-488 communication
- protocols. Conceived and developed ATPL, an Automatic Test
- Programming Language for use with ATE and CAT.
-
- Electronic Test Engineer (3/84 - 8/85)
- Head of the Test Engineering Department: Involved in hardware
- and software design of automatic test equipment including the
- Factron 303S in circuit tester and IEEE-488 Test instruments
- controlled by HP9816 Controller, IBM PC/AT and PDP11-23.
