  31. Education (specialty area biology) and Microbiology and a minor in
  32. Genetics.  I will receive a bachelor of science in Science Education
  33. and a bachelor of science in Microbiology as well as a minor in
  34. Genetics in May, 1993.

  47. Microbial Genetics Laboratory, Microbiology Department, North Carolina
  48. State University, Raleigh, North Carolina  27607.  This position was
  49. created by my participation in a course, Special Problems in
  50. Microbiology, offered by the North Carolina State University
  51. microbiology department during the summer of 1992.  This particular
  52. project in which I was involved, oligonucleotide-directed mutagenesis
  53. of T4 phage, has been an ongoing project directed by Dr. Eric Miller
  54. and Catherine Jozwik of the North Carolina State University
  55. microbiology department.  I assisted Mrs. Jozwik in a number of
  56. laboratory duties including: making media plates, growing over-nights
  57. of bacteria and phage, DNA template extraction and precipitation, DNA
  58. spectrophotometric analysis, annealing of oligonucleotide to our
  59. template, running agarose gel electrophoresis on samples, and
  60. electroporation using selected DNA samples.
