- I don't think he's after income (sorry to put words in your mouth,
- Phil), but growth. Every so often the Wall Street Journal, Money,
- et al, run an article about how great the growth of the highest
- yielding Dow stocks has been. The theory is that they are high
- yielders because their prices have been depressed (for whatever
- reason) and are "due" to bounce back. The high yield is merely
- an indicator of (relatively) low price, not (relatively) high
- return. Or so the theory goes. Anybody have any comments on the
- theory?
