- Since you have a newer house, you probably have a pressure-reducing valve
- on the water line where it enters the house. If the valve fails, you will
- get this symptom (I had the same problem several years ago). The only
- mystery is the valve is relatively new, so it shouldn't have failed so soon,
- but I wouldn't discount it.

- In newer construction (at least here in CA), they don't use air pockets
- anymore, but if your house has them, the pockets can be easily refilled
- with air by shutting off the main water supply, opening all faucets in the
- house, and opening a faucet (usually a garden hose faucet) which is lower in
- elevation to all the house faucets. This will drain the system. Then close
- everything up and turn the main valve back on.
