- By "converted", I assume you mean you'll replace the existing 2-prong with
- a 3-prong, attaching it to the original black & white wires and to your
- new safety ground. That's what I would do.

- If you do this and they're on different circuits, you will have transferred
- this outlet to the other circuit, possibly creating a slight overload. If
