- The most likely problem with a freezer would be compressor failure
- due to not running at all for an extended period. When it did try to
- kick on, the oil would be both stiff and gummy, neither of which
- would be good for it. Things inside should remain frozen. Here in
- north Alabama, a freezer shouldn't have much trouble, since our
- winters are fairly mild (compared to Michigan, for example).
