- Does anybody know from personal experience how much quieter than an
- oil burner is a gas-conversion burner?
-
- Context: My house has an oil-fired burner that is very noisy. When
- visiting a friend's house, I noticed that his gas-fired boiler was
- much quieter. Both boilers are of about the same vintage. My plumber
- says that if I convert the system to gas, by getting a gas-conversion
- burner, it will be quieter, but not as quiet as a native gas burner.
- One reason he gave is that the conversion-burner, just as the oil
- burner, has a motor.

- Thanks,
- Isidro
