  10. I'm looking for a book that covers programming in the UNIX environment (and
  11. also Windows NT since it will be supporting sockets).  It seems like the
  12. standard in this area is "UNIX Network Programming" by Stevens.  I was about
  13. ready to pry open my wallet when I ran into the book,

  15. Adventures in UNIX Network Applications Programming
  16. by Bill Rieken and Lyle Weiman

  18. I think it must be fairly new because I haven't seen it before.  Just glancing
  19. through the book it looked like it might be useful.  It's also $35 vs $55 for
  20. Steven's book.

  22. Does anyone have any experience with the "UNIX Network Applications Programming"
  23. book?  Would you recommend it, or should I spring for Steven's book.  Thanks
