- I'm looking for a book that covers programming in the UNIX environment (and
- also Windows NT since it will be supporting sockets). It seems like the
- standard in this area is "UNIX Network Programming" by Stevens. I was about
- ready to pry open my wallet when I ran into the book,
-
- Adventures in UNIX Network Applications Programming
- by Bill Rieken and Lyle Weiman
-
- I think it must be fairly new because I haven't seen it before. Just glancing
- through the book it looked like it might be useful. It's also $35 vs $55 for
- Steven's book.
-
- Does anyone have any experience with the "UNIX Network Applications Programming"
- book? Would you recommend it, or should I spring for Steven's book. Thanks
- for any input.
