- Planned Parenthood Federation of America will announce the name of
- a new president to succeed Faye Wattleton at a Manhattan news
- conference on Friday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rhiga Royal
- Hotel, Wintergarden Room, 151 West 54th St. (between 6th and 7th
- avenues). Wattleton resigned earlier this year.
- The federation's new president, who will be introduced at the news
- conference by PPFA Chairperson Jacqueline S. Jackson, Ph.D., will
- make a short statement and then take questions.
- The announcement culminates a nationwide, seven-month search for
- an individual to head the nation's oldest and largest reproductive
- health and advocacy organization. The search scrutinized nearly 100
- candidates, leaders in the fields of health, government, family
- planning, women's rights and business.
