  24. MEXICAN GOVERNOR ACCUSED OF MISMANAGEMENT AND POSSIBLY MURDER

  26.      Mexican journalist Ignacio Mendoza, killed by three bullets
  27. last Saturday, November 14, had given information to the
  28. opposition party regarding illicit acts which the governor of the
  29. state of Quintana Roo, Miguel Borge, had committed.  The
  30. center-left Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) revealed that
  31. since September 30 it has asked for an indictment against
  32. Governor Borge for mismanagement of public funds.  They accused
  33. him of embessling over 124 billion pesos (some US$41 million) and
  34. of attacks against local journalists, including Mendoza. (AFP
