- Mexican journalist Ignacio Mendoza, killed by three bullets
- last Saturday, November 14, had given information to the
- opposition party regarding illicit acts which the governor of the
- state of Quintana Roo, Miguel Borge, had committed. The
- center-left Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) revealed that
- since September 30 it has asked for an indictment against
- Governor Borge for mismanagement of public funds. They accused
- him of embessling over 124 billion pesos (some US$41 million) and
- of attacks against local journalists, including Mendoza. (AFP
