- I saw the opening last night, and although the print is in bad repair it
- was quite an experience. Several years since I've seen this on a large
- screen, and well worth the paltry $4 (and I could have stayed for "An American
- Werewolf in London") Kinski is such a perfect tragic hero, Renfield is
- the best I have ever seen, Lucy (her name is Mina damnit) is delightful,
- and there is some truly inspired cinematography thanks to Herzog (by the way,
- he includes his signature motifs which appear in every film he has made with
- few exceptions)
-
- At the New Beverly Cinema, tonight and tomorrow.
- 7165 Beverly blvd. (213) 938-4038 shows at 7:30
