  11. Boat sinking
  12. On the 25th of October at Taieri River mouth,  New Zealand my dad's 10
  13. meters long fishing boat called 'Iona' got stuck on the sand on its way going out fishing at 4 am. The problem was that an electrical machine turned off so the driver turned the boat around and the spot light turned off and they ended up on the beach. The other boats tried to tow it off but it sank so a digger towed it and a crane came and lifted it on to the truck and took it to town.  The boat is a write off so Dad's looking for a new one. by Thomas Clark aged 11
