- Hi Liz. We don't really have "lessons" per se. We run a process oriented
- writing program, and kids use whatever they need to complete their individual
- projects. For some that means one of our three computers (we also have
- access to a few others in the computer lab). Others would rather write by
- hand. It does get a bit hairy at times when the same tsudents monopolize the
- ocmputers but I have kept away from a schedule. I think woprd processing
- should be a spoontaneous, almost invisible part of the writing process.
- Thus, I don't want the kids to have to book the computers ahead of time.
- (That defeats the purpose of having them in the classroom). Right inow its
- just first come first serve. Because we have the 60 students all day, we can
- be pretty flexible in what they are doing. So, occasionally students will
- not work on Math with the rest of the class if they really want to get
- something done on the computers. Consequently, the computers are used just
- about all day, primariliy for writing and |CD ROM research. Nice
- communicating with you. Talk to you later.
