Long way from where ...........?
Years ago (about 8 or 9) I started interfacing lab exercises to an Apple IIe. Went to an interfacing workshop at Northeastern in Boston - became inspired to get more electronics training - now suffering from info overload - so many interesting things to pursue, so little time. How often do you hear that lament?
Nevertheless, when is your workshop? Are you interfacing PCs, Macs, an eclectic mix? If it's in the summer, I can use it as an excuse to come out and windsurf the Gorge - visit friends on the way.

We have a small faculty investment club - along the lines of the "Billionaire Boys Club." We get an amount of play money to invest at the beginning of the year; check to see who's ahead at the end - trade tips and info in the intervening months. Our real money we sock away into more conservative places than the play money! Mr. Orensky, our AP/IB Chem teacher this year, recommends one of Jardine Fleming's "China Funds." Not sure which one, because I don't listen to his advice with 100% attention (he was
also long on the British Pound) - maybe it's a small cap China Fund - he says it's been hot all year, which I translate to mean, "You may have missed the bandwagon!"
