  11. Hi, Scott.  I just read where you were from and had to ask if you know 
  12. Phillip Dean from Blayney H.S.?  I think he is the computer coordinator 
  13. there and about to swap positions with a math teacher from our high 
  14. school here in Colorado.  I also thought it would be nice to comunicate 
  15. with someone far away as I will be demonstrating this BBS to our 
  16. science department on December 2. I am the computer technology aide at 
  17. Highlands Ranch H.S. here in Colorado. I'll throw in my thoughts of 
  18. AtEase. We are just in the process of evaluating it for possible use in 
  19. at least one of our labs. The thought may be true about it interferring 
  20. with the students learning how to use the Mac but we think it may solve 
  21. one of our major problems which is that too many of the kids know how 
  22. to use the Mac too well and are messing in areas that they shouldn't 
  23. be.  We are concerned about our lab of 24 machines with hard drives, 
  24. not on a file server.  They add and delete items from the system folder 
  25. and turn ApplShare on and off and it can be a real pain. It hasn't been 
  26. too much of a problem up to this year because the labs were generally 
  27. used for computer classes and the teachers knew what to be on the 
  28. lookout for but now we have three classes that use the labs for 
  29. different levels of writing and the teachers are pretty much oblivious 
  30. to what the students are getting into on the machines. It may be a good 
  31. solution for that lab.  I understand that you can turn it on and off so 
  32. you could teach about the Mac and then restrict when necessary. This is
