SP-> I want to know more about teaching in an international school.<-
We'd be glad to tell you more about it. There are plenty of schools, in a variety of places. Some have great pay (we do fine here in Taipei) while I've heard of other places where people dip into their savings (or go in debt) to live there. ie. London if one takes advantage of the plays and cultural events, etc. I guess, for starters, I'd suggest stopping in the U of M's placement service and see if they have any listing for overseas teaching positions. You may also want to ask if they have an ad
dress for ISS (International School Services) or the Overseas Recruitment Fair at the University of Northern Iowa. When we come home in December we'd be glad to get together and tell you more about it. Check a Missoula phone book for Art Croci, my wife's parents and leave your phone number with them and we'll get in touch.
SP-> Do you ahve any students who would like MT penpals? <-
I spoke to Jared, a fourth grader today. He is from Montana too. He is interested although he wasn't too sure about coming in during a recess to write out a message. He may come before school at 7:00 A.M. I'll try to get a few more. Any particular ages?
We enjoy the news of MT that you've sent. Thanks and we look forward to more. Enjoy Thanksgiving. We too have it off. It is one of the few American holidays we get.
Just a side note: Our sysop's motherboard went out and he is will have to make some decisions about keeping the board up and running. So if you don't hear from me (us) try dropping a letter to me at our school. Here is the address: Box 125 Taipei American School 800 Chung Shan N. Rd., Sec. 6 Shih Lin, Taipei, Taiwan. R.O.C.
